Gábor Borókai (b. 14 June 1961) is a Hungarian politician who served as spokesman of the Hungarian government from 9 July 1998 to 27 May 2002.
He worked for the Nemzeti Sport since 1985. After ten years he moved to the political journalism. He served as editor in chief of the Reform between 1997 and 1998. He dealt with internal political topics primarily.
Viktor Orbán appointed Borókai spokesman of the cabinet. He hold this position as political state secretary of the Prime Minister's Office from 1999. When the Fidesz lost the next elections e started the HírTV with exterior investors' help. Until 2004 he served as CEO of the channel. After that he joined to the editor commission of the Heti Válasz. Currently he is the editor in chief of the weekly newspaper.
